3 Mar 2008 - Match report. Sunday 2nd March 2008 - Cops U15 v Framlingham U15

Framlingham 1 Copleston 1

Been there, done that (14th October we were 1-0 up and drew 1-1 on the same ground and in the same circumstances).

But this was a good dress rehearsal for our semi final at home, against Framlingham next week.  The game was played in a really good spirit by both teams and but for a wind assisted goal with five minutes to go, Copleston would have come away with all three points.

Cop’s took the lead in the first half, with Courtney scoring her first goal of the season.  That makes her third top scorer (along with Grace, Bria, Emily Dubs, Leah and Forest).  Sammy is second top on 3 and Siobhan just ahead of Sammy on 17.

The Copleston defence never looked as if they were going to be beaten today, Amy, Emily, Emily and Leah performing to a really high standard.

There were six girls nominated for Girl of the Game today, a reflection of what was a very good team performance.  Courtney took the award, her second of the season.  Well done Courtney.

So, next week – our biggest game since our U13 semi final against Ipswich when we nearly made the final in a fantastic semi against one of the best teams we’ve come up against over the years.

You know what to expect from Framlingham now and you know you’re good enough to do it on the day.

Do you want it badly enough?

Make it happen!
