16 Mar 2008 - Felixstowe Hawks Under 12’s Vs Copleston Under 12’s - 16th March - Match Report
This was the last away league game of the season. The weather wasn't ideal it was cold, wet and very windy, but the girls were determined to pick up three points.
Cops were playing the first half against the wind, and found it very difficult. They started off slowly and found themselves 2 down after short time.
There were chances at both ends, but there were no more goals before half time. One of the things, discussed at half time was coming back from 2 goals down, we have done it before, and nobody could see why we couldn't do it again!
The second half started with cops winning vital tackles and searching for a way back in to the game, they were rewarded when Kathryn broke forward and her shot ended up in the back of the net.
The last 15 minutes cops had chance after chance but they were denied by good saves from the Felixstowe keeper. Jemma, Kathryn and Jade all came very close. The final whistle came without cops finding the equaliser. After the game, Ward (the Felixstowe manager) came up to us and said "we will be supporting you in the cup final against Little Oakly", which we all thought was a very good gesture.
Final Score - Felixstowe 2 - Copleston 1
