29 Apr 2008 - U12 Cup Final Match report –. Copleston Under 12’s V Little Oakley U12’s

A large crowd had gathered anticipating a competitive sixty minutes of play, with a penalty shootout if needed. The Copleston girls were in there brand new tracksuits, worn for the first time looking smart and very professional.

 

 

Little Oakley were firm favourites after winning the league, without losing a game.

 

As the teams kicked off Little Oakley quickly got into the stride, playing here usual fast flowing football. At half time Copleston found themselves 2 goals down.

 

 

The second half Copleston stepped up a gear. Emily playing in defence for the first time was doing a fine job. Jess kept the score down by making some good saves.

 

Eventually Little Oakley broke through and scored there 3rd goal of the game. The final whistle blew, Little Oakley had done the double.

 

The crowd cheered and clapped both teams for there effort and entertainment they had given us. Well done to the magnificent nine Copleston girls, not just for reaching the cup final, but for entertaining us throughout the season with there ‘never say die’ attitude. Roll on next season.
