29 May 2007 - Copleston Under 11’s reach semi final of Sizewell tournament

Copleston Under 12’s put out a young team to take part in the Sizewell football tournament. In weather better suited to water polo they won two games beating Sky Eagles 3-0 and Waveney B 1-0. They also played Witnesham Wasps, Waveney A and Sky Falcons.

They also managed to score two goals against a strong Waveney A side eventually going down 4-2.  The goals where shared between Jess Metson and Sarah Offord. Molly Steward, Bethany Smith and Natasha provided the defensive cover and there was some great performances from all involved.

The rain became torrential and this forced the postponement of the semi finals with the final places being awarded to Witnesham and Waveney A.

Well done to all the girls and supporters who braved this dreadful weather to put in some great performances to reach our first ever semi-final.
