15 Oct 2007 - Framlingham U15 V Copleston Under 15 - Match report. Sunday 14th October
Funny old game. We expected to win this one, after
Things started well with Siobhan reacting quickly to a dropped ball from the Framlingham keeper to score a great opportunist goal. She’d obviously been listening to Paul Trenter who had made a point before the match of telling the strikers to be ready for situations like that. Nice one Paul.
The score remained 1-0 at the interval, but in the second half Copleston couldn’t get the ball out of their own half. A well taken Framlingham goal was disallowed for offside, but the home team kept pressing and were rewarded with a goal ten minutes from time.
Sometimes we have off days and this was just one of those. None the less, the result takes Copleston’s unbeaten run to three games, so well done for that. Alysha was voted Girl of the Game for the second time this season, after another tireless performance.
