12 Nov 2007 - Match Report - Sunday 11th November - Copleston U15 V Woodbridge U15

Sunday 11th November

Copleston U15

Copleston 0 Woodbridge 1

Matches with Woodbridge are always close fought encounters and this one was no different, with the league leaders taking all three points thanks to a well taken first half goal from the visitors.

In spite of the result, the U15s should feel proud of their performance.  Everyone gave 100% and given that Woodbridge have scored 25 goals in their last four matches, the score reflected just how far the girls have come this season.  Although Woodbridge had a good deal of possession in the second half, they found themselves up against a Copleston team with one of the strongest defensive records in the league and couldn’t break through a second time.

Eve was outstanding in goal on her debut for the club and deservedly won the Girl of the Game award.  Well done Eve.

There were lots of good individual performances and Paul and I were pleased with the efforts of the entire team.  The season is still young with lots of games left to play.  We have a good squad and a good team spirit.  Keep working hard and keep smiling!
