26 Nov 2007 - Match report - Sunday 25th November - Copleston U15 v Felixstowe U15

Felixstowe 1 Copleston 1

In a game which Copleston had ample opportunity to win, it’s pleasing to still be able to take so many positives out of it.

Siobhan kept up her goal scoring form with a well taken individual goal in the first half.  And we could have added more before the home team snatched a point with almost the last kick of the game.  But football’s like that some time.  So what were the positives?

Eve – another good game, safe hands.  We’re lucky to have her in Bria’s absence.

Emily Driver – took some knocks today, but got up and got on with it.

Emily Double – probably her best performance of the season.  Strong and good technique today.

Amy T – always brings a sense of calm to any situation, dependable as ever.

Forest – ran like the wind and never gave up; worked really hard.

Alysha – best game of the season so far.  Creative and determined.

Grace – when all that potential we’ve seen came together today, Grace deservedly won the Girl of the Game award.  Well done Grace, classy performance.

Siobhan – nine goals in eight matches – not bad!  A message to the other teams in the league - she’s not up for sale!

Amy B – where did that performance come from today?  Good ball control, good distribution and her best match this season.

Courtney – her best performance of the season too.  Nearly scored in the first half!

Seven of the girls were nominated for Girl of the Game.  That gives an idea of how well the team played.  The quality of the football in the second half especially was great to watch and again we saw things happen on the pitch that we do at training.  Always a treat for me and Paul when that happens.
